José was born on September 30, 1963, in El Salvador and brought joy and kindness to everyone he encountered. Aris passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2025, in Los Angeles, California, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that will never be forgotten.
José was an Artist. An Artist who had the courage of coming to this country and building his legacy. For over 30 years, Aris dedicated his professional life to fostering beauty and confidence in his clients at his beloved hair salon, Le Quipe Hair Salon. His nurturing spirit and infectious smile made every visitor feel special. He had a unique way of ensuring that not just his clients, but their pets felt welcomed too. He would leave water bowls for the dogs that would stroll by his salon. It was this thoughtful touch, along with his commitment to creating a joyful atmosphere, that drew countless clients to him, many of whom became lifelong friends.
Aris was not just a talented hairstylist and artist; he was a vibrant soul who loved to celebrate life. He had an insatiable desire to travel and an enthusiasm for music. Often times he would transform his salon into a disco party. His warm-hearted nature and generous spirit went beyond his work; he touched the lives of all who knew him.
His talents and contributions went beyond the local community. He was proud to have been featured in both Telemundo and newspapers in El Salvador, marking significant milestones in both his career and his life. Aris had an incredible ability to connect with people from different walks of life, leaving a mark on their hearts.
José had a saying “Atrévete al cambio y marca la diferencia” which translates to: Dare to make a change, to make a difference. José certainly made a change and left a difference, he left a mark, full of love in all of our lives. While his passing was sudden, those who knew him will carry forward the lessons of kindness and joy that he beautifully embodied. He will be missed but lovingly remembered by his beautiful smile.
