Thomas F. Teplir known to friends as "Tom" Age 77 died August 10, 2020 at a local LTAC Hospital after a courageous battle against heart complications.

He was a native of Scranton Pennsylvania and a 1968 IBM P-TECH Graduate. In late 1968, he moved to So Cal to first reside in Los Angeles to pursue his career. In 1969 he landed an entry level position at Ralph's, a major supermarket. His meticulous attention to detail promoted him to a higher position as Regional Meat Purchaser that entailed an array of purchasing meat product, giving him the opportunity to travel and network with the elite best in his industry. He maintained his position till his retirement.

In 1976 he moved his immediate family to Chino CA and purchased his family home where he resided until his death.

Thomas had many joys, hobbies. He enjoyed sports and was a loyal fan to the LA Dodgers, USC Trojans, and Rams (Lams as he would call them). His hobbies included collecting trains, music, photography, baseball caps, writing pens and working on Sudoku books. He was a parishioner and Servant Lector of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. He was a mentor to the Boy Scouts of America and a civic volunteer for the State of California.

A proud man with a genuine and charming personality left a lasting impression to those who knew him. His "Teplirisum" will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Zuniga-Teplir of Chino CA, two daughters and one son-in-law, Sander and Rick Mancha of Yucaipa CA, and Cheryl Kronner of Los Angeles CA. Step-children, Christopher Alvarez, Asia Jimenez of Portland OR. Ten grandchildren three great grandchildren, six brother-in-laws, six sister-in-law, and extended nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Irene Teplir, his first wife Mary Ann Teplir and mother of his children.

Services are being handled by Forest Lawn Hills Memorial Park. Private viewing is scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2020. A courtyard memorial service officiated by Father Hyacinth is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. for family and friends who wish to attend.
