Martha Meta Prost

Martha Meta Prost, 80, born on November 22, 1937, in Lithuania. In 1941 she, her brother Juozas, and her parents, Elizabeth & Jonas Mejeris, fled to Germany where they resided until 1949 when they immigrated to the United States. In 1965 she married Arthur Prost and in 1966 they welcomed their first child, Christine, followed by William in 1968, and Andrea in 1970.

Martha, who became a full time homemaker after the birth of her first child, was known for her sense of humor, her love of animals, and her passion for gardening. She was extremely proud and supportive of her children. She adored her grandsons, Corey and Kane, and attended every graduation and countless birthday parties and soccer games throughout the years.

On December 10, 2017, Martha lost her valiant battle with metastasized breast cancer. She resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of her passing. She is preceded in death by her brother Juozas Mejeris, and her parents Elizabeth & Jonas Mejeris. In addition to her husband Arthur, she is survived by her daughter Christine Kessler and son-in-law Jonnie Kessler; her son William Prost; her daughter Andrea Aurelio-Prost and her daughter-in-law Catherine Aurelio; and her two grandsons, Corey Prost and Kane Prost.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.
