Lydia Lotz

Lydia Lotz, 83, born on October 18, 1932, in Hungary, passed away September 15, 2016. She resided in Westminster, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
Lydia married her husband Adam in 1954 and the two of them came to America in 1955. One year later their daughter Aida was born. Lydia and her family settled in South Gate, California. It was Lydia and Adam's dream to retire and live in the mountains and so they purchased land, designed and built their home there, which they enjoyed on the weekends until making their permanent move there in the early 90's. Lydia and her family were able to travel back to Europe on many occasions, and have many family members and friends that still reside there. Lydia was a very active member of her church in South Gate, singing Alto in the choir where her husband and daughter also sang. She was a gifted seamstress for most of her working years and created many special items for her daughter's wardrobe throughout the years. She worked side by side with her sister Katie at a furrier shop in Long Beach, Ca. until her retirement. Lydia enjoyed a full life with a family she loved and who loved her back. She is survived by her daughter Aida and her son in law Ben. She will be missed by so many, yet we know that she is now with her husband and many family and friends that have gone before - and most of all she is with her Lord and she is at peace.
