Timothy Edward Hitchon

Born June 7th 1964 in Washington Pa to Marjorie Christine (Dobscha) Hitchon and Lawrence Furnier Hitchon, and died June 19th, 2016 in California.

Tim was the youngest of three siblings, gentle by nature and born with a positive attitude and a smile that that endeared people to him.

He went to Trinity High School, where he graduated in 1982. He was on the tennis team at Trinity for 4 years. Between his junior and senior year at Trinity, Tim attended Cornell University for an English composition program. Tim also attended summer courses at Cornell University in his youth. He attended Slippery Rock University during the summers of 1978 and 1979, where he took classes. He spent the school year of 1982-1983 in Juarez, Mexico, with the Rotary International Youth Exchange Program. Tim spent the summer of 1983 attending the University of Texas Austin, where he took a photography course. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute from 1983-1987. Tim spent the summer of 1984 attending the University of Southern California Santa Barbara, where he took a photography course.

Tim loved animals and nature, seeing the beauty in common, everyday events and in people. He had an artistic spirit that found expression in his passion for photography. Technically skilled, Tim put people at ease with his kind and genuine interest, allowing his portraits to capture the essence he recognized in his subjects.

Tim loved his work. Employed by Amazon for 18 years, he rose to the position of Director, Operations , where he set high standards. Effective as a leader and well regarded by his coworkers, his colleagues recognized that special element that characterized his work. He was also a mentor, gifted with a mischievous nature and intelligence that found expression in witty observations, offered kindly, with a wry smile.

Tim was uncomplaining, unassuming, gentle, humorous, compassionate and intelligent.

Tim will be greatly missed by those who survive him, including his father, Lawrence (Larry) Hitchon, his brother Larry Hitchon and sister in law Dana Reid, of Seattle, WA, his sister Virginia (Ginney) Hitchon, of Boulder, CO, his Aunt Darlene (Dobscha) Benko of Washington, Pa and Aunt Karen Susan (Dobscha) Huso, (married to Allan Huso) of Joliet MT, his Uncle Ronald Bright Hitchon of Coppell, Texas., cousins Melana Bistarkey (married to TR Bistarkey), Janice Lovat (married to Chris Lovat) of Washington, PA, Katherine (Katie) Se Jung Kim Huso (married to Craig Hensel), of Billings, MT, Breta Colenaro (married to Stephen Colanero) of KS, Elizabeth Cable (married to Rick Cable ) of FL, Paul Hitchon of OR and Geoff Hitchon, of Freehold, NJ.
