Mary Catherine Glenn

Mary Catherine (Cathy) Glenn, 81, born on February 1, 1933, in Asheboro, North Carolina, passed away January 5, 2015. She resided in West Covina, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina, California.
A Rosary for Cathy will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 15, at St. Christopher Church, 629 S. Glendora Avenue, West Covina.
She is survived by John, her husband of nearly 60 years, children Debra (Colin) Floate of Fallbrook, Marty (Roslyn) of Spokane, Washington, and Patricia (Rob)
Montes of Mesa, Arizona, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters and a brother, all of North Carolina.
She will be missed and fondly remembered by her family, her many friends and the friends of her children who, in their growing years, found her house to be a second home.
Cathy was a positive influence on many through her contributions in support of her children as a volunteer for the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and a volunteer worker at St. Christopher church and school; to her community where she volunteered for many years at the West Covina Senior Center and was recognized by Congress and the City of West Covina as a Woman of Distinction. For her contributions in support of her husband she was honored by the U.S. Army's Special Forces Association and was bestowed the Shield of Sparta by the National Infantry Association.
