Zorahayda Dy, nicknamed Coping, was born on September 9, 1929, in Rosales, Pangasinan, Philippines. She attended University of Santo Tomas to receive her degree in Pharmacy in 1954. She married Joaquin C. Cosue on March 3, 1957. She had nine children, Manielita, Noralyn, Orpah, Ruth, Presciliza, Jeffrey, Zorah, Haida, and Jennifer. Mommy Coping managed her own pharmacy for 35 years in Rosales until she moved to the United States in November 1989 with her husband. She lived in Buena Park, California and spent her years caring for her family. On April 5, 2019, Mommy Coping was finally able to rest and join her Creator.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
