Zeina Fares Wehbe, loving sister and aunt, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Los Palos Convalescent Hospital in San Pedro, California after her tireless battle against heart disease where she was surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Kfarchima, Lebanon on November 24, 1925 to Fares and Farida Wehbe, Zeina was nothing short of a caring and altruistic family woman. She had a tremendous capability to forego her personal and work to take care of her father, mother, brother (until their passing) and niece. She spent over 50 years establishing a reputation as an avid seamstress whose versatility served the great people of Kfarchima and beyond. Her commitment and dedication to her work was unparalleled that Middle Eastern royalty sought her out for her excellence as a seamstress. Above all, her profound love and devotion to her family and strong faith is how she will truly be remembered.

Faced with the hardships of war, Zeina persevered relentlessly and balanced the needs of her family, along with survival. Her stories of war and endurance were a testament to her physical and mental strength.

In 1996, Zeina left her homeland of Lebanon to begin a new life in San Pedro with her sister Julee, and Julee's six children. She spent the next 18 years of her life devoted to taking care of here sister and her family. Her contributions were innumerable and certainly left an indelible mark on all of those that surrounded her at the end of her life.

There will be many stories told about her gift to converse and her ability to make friends effortlessly. Zeina touched the lives of many people and maintained her trademark hugging and kissing anyone she knew or met all the way to the end. As she entered her last year of life at the convalescent home, she went upon her days socializing, enjoying days of bingo, singing, and reading her bible. She had an uncanny ability to recall stories of days passed which entertained her family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and four brothers. She is survived by her sister Julee Boulos, and her six children - Munir Boulos, Mohana Wehbe, Manal Boulos, Madonna Deek, Mokhlis Boulos, Maher Boulos. She is also survived by nephews and nieces that live in the United States - Fares Wehbe, Sanni Wehbe, Samir Wehbe, and Gladys Khoury. In Lebanon - Deeb Wehbe, Dibeh Wehbe, Souhaila Kfoury, Salam Abdo, Samia Medwar, Viviane Dahdah and Vera Khoury. In Abu Dhabi, Maha Abdo, and in Canada, Hoda El Kodsi.

Zeina will forever be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the LA Cedars Rotary Foundation. Donations are tax deductible. Please state that your donation is for the 'Zeina Wehbe Fund.' A project in Lebanon will commemorate her memory, and honor her with a perminate plaque.
