Zareh Sarkissian

Zareh Sarkissian, 79, born February 21, 1947, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, in Monrovia, CA. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills.

Zareh was born in Haifa, Palestine, to Khatchig and Mary Sarkissian. He was the youngest of four, with two brothers, Manoug and Sarkis, and a sister, Anahid. In 1948, the family fled to Lebanon by small boat across treacherous seas. Once settled in Beirut, his father became a devoted provider, and Zareh enjoyed a happy life surrounded by family and friends. Sadly, all of his immediate family preceded him in death.

In 1978, Zareh moved to California, where he built a peaceful life. He owned A to Z Carpet and loved boating and fishing. In 2017, an unfortunate fall left him homebound, and his health gradually declined.  For the last four years of his life, Zareh was blessed with the devoted care of Noel Guevarra, who was exceptionally kind, patient, and low-key. Noel took wonderful care for him, and our family deeply grateful for his compassion and dedication.

Zareh was the last of Sarkissian family, now reunited with those he loved, May God rest his soul in Piece.
