Yvonne "Bonnie" Olga Dobbins

Yvonne "Bonnie" O. Dobbins passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Clark House Assisted Living Center. She was 84.

Yvonne was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, November 6, 1928, to William Jr. and Helen Harding. The family later moved to Gloversville, New York, where she attended school through the 11th grade, dropping out and going to work for the telephone company to help support her family. On June 19, 1949, Yvonne married Francis "Frank" K. Dobbins, Jr. in Schenectady, NY, and honeymooned in Niagara Falls. In 1950, the newly married couple moved to Dallas, Texas, where they later had two sons: William and Robert.

In 1959, they moved to Los Angeles, California, where Frank went to work for Lockheed Aricraft Company and Yvonne developed a career in the cartoon industry as a cell painter and checker. Over a period of 19 years, Yvonne painted cartoons for Hanna-Barbara Studios, painting cartoons such as Scooby-Doo, Huckleberry Hound and Quick Draw McGraw. In 1979, Yvonne and Frank retired and moved to Fort Bragg, California, where they discovered an interest in camping and fishing. In 2011, they moved to Moscow, Idaho to be closer to family. Yvonne enjoyed gardening, cooking, decorating her house and entertaining family and friends.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents Helen and William, her sisters Lois and June, her brother Chuck and grandson Isaac. She is survived by her sons William and Robert, granddaughters Aarika and Elise and grandson Anthony.
