Yvette Hingst

Yvette Hingst, age 84, of West Covina, California passed away peacefully; singing and dancing the night before among her friends. She was born to Nathan and Fannie Goodman in the Bronx, NY on April 19, 1929. She had two sisters Gloria and Sylvia and three brothers, Irving, Freddy, and Harold. She graduated from William Howard Taft High School in 1948. Yvette and her husband and daughter relocated to Southern California in 1959. She was an Electronics Inspector with the Honeywell Corporation. She was strong, independent, and fiesty yet compassionate, trusting, and filled with great humor! Yvette loved to square dance, crochet and knit and most of all she loved to eat! She enjoyed spending time with her family and her pet Chihuahua Tina. Yvette is survived by her daughter Frances Merritt and her son in law Tony Merritt, her grandchildren Joyce and Brandon, and great grandsons Justin and Dylan. A funeral service will be held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Covina Hills on Thursday, October 3rd at 11am.
