Yuthasart Bhavabhutananda Na Mahasarakam, a cherished and respected member of his community, passed away peacefully at home in Rancho Mirage, California on September 4, 2025. Born on January 29, 1944, in Loei, Thailand, Yuthasart dedicated his life to the pursuit and practice of architecture, beginning with his education at Silpakorn University in Bangkok, followed by earning his Master’s degree in Architecture from Pratt Institute in New York.

Throughout his career, Yuthasart worked for several architectural firms in New York, where his talent and dedication contributed to numerous successful projects. He was held in high regard not only for his professional achievements but also for his vibrant personality. He was a charming man whose wonderful smile lit up any room, earning the affection and respect of all who knew him.

Yuthasart found great joy in painting, gardening, and collecting, pursuits that allowed him to express his creativity and connect with nature. He took pride in organizing annual ceremonies to honor his ancestors, creating opportunities for relatives to come together, which reflected his deep familial ties and commitment to preserving cultural traditions.

In his community, especially during his time in Washington, D.C., he was a strong advocate for Thai culture, receiving recognition for his efforts from the Mayor of Washington, D.C. His contributions were not only professionally significant but also personally fulfilling, as he enjoyed attending family gatherings during his annual visits to Thailand.

He is survived by five loving sisters: Sumalee Saiphet, Pumaree Narakol, Jitrutai Chotchaisatit, Supamongkol Lorchai, and Poonsri Sirivong Na Ayudhaya, and 15 nieces and nephews along with their spouses. Yuthasart is also survived by his partner, Robert O’Neill.

Yuthasart is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Songmuang Bhavabhutananda Na Mahasarakam, and his brother, Suntipap Bhavabhutananda Na Mahasarakam.

A Funeral Service will be held on October 3, 2025, starting at 8:00 AM, at Forest Lawn - Cathedral City - Ramon Chapel, located at 69855 Ramon Road, Cathedral City, California, 92234.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered not only for his professional talents but also for the warmth and kindness he shared with those around him.
