Ysabel C. Ponce

Ysabel C. Ponce (nickname "Willie") passed away peacefully at his home on February 28, 2016 surrounded by his family. Willie was born on July 8, 1924 in Holtville, California. He was one of ten siblings born to Reyes and Trancida Ponce.

Willie was brought up during a generation where people worked hard, saved their money and believed in the American Dream. Willie came from humble beginnings but through hard work and frugal spending, he was able to purchase a home as well as invest in several real estate properties. He married Lena Saragosa and they had four children.

Willie was a loving husband and great dad to his children. He loved talking to everyone he met and would talk to anyone. It didn't matter who they were, it made no difference to him. Everyone was treated with the same respect.

Survivors are his four children: John Ponce, Robert Ponce and his family, Norma Hauser and her family and Nora Carver and her family.

Go in peace, dad . . . and be with the Lord . . . don't forget to say Hi to mom for us . . . love you, dad, so very much!

Services held at Forest Lawn, Cypress, California on March 10th for the Rosary and March 11th for the services and burial.
