Young Bae

Young Uk Bae passed away at Northridge Hospital Medical Center on December 24, 2024. He was 76 years old.

He was born to Sooin Bae and Sungyee Kwon in Pohang, South Korea on January 4, 1948. He attended Kyungbuk Middle School and Daegu Highschool. He then attended Youngnam University in Daegu, while enjoying fencing and hiking. He immigrated to Chicago in 1973 and attended University of Chicago. Later, he moved to Los Angeles. 

He met our mom, Jennifer C. Bae at Los Angeles City College in 1975 and fell in love. They married on June 25, 1977. Their first child, Philip, was born in June, 1979. Their second child, Christine, was born in March, 1983. 

Young established his own business, Young Bae Fashions, Inc. in 1977 and retired in 2017. Throughout the years, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing in the weekends. He loved skiing and traveling with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer; son Philip and his wife Janet; daughter Christine and her husband Daniel; and 5 beautiful grandchildren, Anderson, Emily, Oliver, Ethan, and Isaac.
