Yolande Green Hamwi

Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister Yolande Green Hamwi, 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 10, 2022.

Born in Lebanon to Armenian parents, Yolande came to the United States in 1958 to begin her medical residency then career as a Pediatrician. The first in her family to come to the United States, she paved the path for her family to follow.

Yolande is survived by her 3 children Susan, Diane and Jerry; grandson Joey, sister Lena and extended family of nephews, nieces and cousins. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph and son Robert (1963-1967).

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, CA. Funeral Service begins at 2:30pm, Tuesday, May 3 - please arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand. Family and friends are invited to join.
