Yolanda Olivarez

Yolanda Olivarez, 69, born on September 19, 1953, in Manila, Philippines, passed away April 22, 2023. She resided in West Covina, CA at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA.

Yolanda was out of 10 children of Magdalena and Raul La Madrid. She graduated with her bachelors and she enjoyed being part of her singing troupe. She moved to Guam with her late husband Avelino Olivarez and their daughter Abigail Olivarez.  Later in the 90’s they all moved to California to be closer to her mother and siblings. There she started her job working with people with disabilities. She loved working with people as her next job was working at retail store Kohl’s. She loved buying things for her family and showing everyone how to use kohl’s cash for the deals! She took care of both Alvin and Abby and she spent her free time with her family. After her husband passed she joined prayer groups and attended mass regularly.
