Yolanda Estrella Obero

January 20, 1939 — April 15, 2019

Yolanda (Yoly) Estrella Obero was born in Manila, Philippines. She was the third child born to Alfonso and Rosario Estrella.

One summer day in 1954, as she was riding her bike, there was a young college man, named Ven, who had noticed her. Suddenly, he fell in love. He quickly learned that she lived near his college house, and he began to court her. After some time, she happily decided to take him to her high school dance. Their love for each other quickly grew. They were together for about 3 years before becoming husband and wife. They happily married on July 7th, 1957 at the young age of 19, but it was true love. She moved to Olongapo where she and Ven then started a family.

In 1979, they flew to the United States where she spent the rest of her days. Yoly worked in the family business for many years; but after retiring, Yoly and Ven enjoyed traveling. Always together, they were unstoppable and were always on the move. They remained proactive and enjoyed life. When not traveling, they enjoyed spending every moment of their day with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They cherished every moment with family--moments that we wished could last forever.

In 2014, she had unfortunately suffered from a stroke due to a developing brain tumor. God took her home on April 15, 2019 after a long and hard-fought battle.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Ven; her children, Luningning, Noel, Marinet, Vernani, Beth, and Christine; her grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Melodie, Zachary, Austin, Tyler, Kimmy, Moses, Nikki, Paolo, Aaron, Brandon, Brian, Andrew, Taylor, Madison, and Rylee; and her great-grandchildren, Mikaelyn, Amara, and Bella.

Yoly was a God-loving woman. She lived for her husband and her children. She was loving, caring, giving, and was always beautiful both inside and out. She had touched many lives with her infectious laughter and smile. May she now Rest In Peace.
