Dr. Danny Yih-Shuh Jan

Dr. Danny Yih-Shuh Jan (詹益樹博士), aged 86, born on March 21, 1939, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2024. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he resided in Arcadia, CA, & was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. 

He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State & became the first Ph.D. in the Telecommunications Bureau in Taiwan. Additionally, he served as the Founding Dean of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University, & as the Institute Director for the Institute of EE. Dr. Jan captivated the academic world with a prolific publication record, showcasing his expertise through eighteen papers on related topics within IEEE. He founded Jantek Electronics Inc & held the distinguished position of President of Jantek Electronics. 

Beyond his professional achievements, he was a devoted Buddhist. As we bid farewell to Dr. Jan, we celebrate a life well-lived with purpose. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts!

詹益樹博士，享年86歲，生於1939年3月21日，於2024年1月21日安詳離世。他是一位深受愛戴的丈夫、父親、祖父和朋友，居住於加州阿凱迪亞，離世時家屬隨侍在側。他於賓州州立大學取得電機工程博士學位，成為台灣電信局第一位博士。他擔任清華大學電機電力創系所長，及清大研究所創系所長。詹博士在IEEE發表了十八篇自動控制論文及文章，贏得學術界的讚譽。他創立也擔任Jantek Electronics, Inc 的總裁，展現卓越的領導地位。除了專業成就外，他是一位虔誠的佛教徒，生活中充滿善良和溫和。我們向詹益樹博士告別，圓滿了一個充實的人生。他的愛与回憶將永遠銘刻在我們的心中。
