Yenjabet Kazandjian

Anahid was born 12/24/1928 in Haifa, Palestine. She was the daughter of Khatchig and Mary Sarkissian. She had 3 brothers Manoug, Sarkis, Zareh. Her family migrated to Lebanon in 1948. Their journey to Beirut, Lebanon was accomplished in a small boat over treacherous seas. At a young age Anahid had family responsibilities (cooking, sewing and caretaking) because her mother suffered from asthma and tired easily. Her father was a great provider for his loving family. Life with family and friends in Lebanon was good. So good that in 1956 she married Yeremia Kazandjian. Together they raised three children, Hratch (Yerevan Armenia) and twins Sylva (Kazandjian) Shirilla and Sylva's twin brother, Ara Kazandjian of Helsinki, Finland. Her Sons and their family were abroad, but she was very close to them, Hratch and his loving wife Armine, Ara and his Loving wife Paivi and Felicia her beautiful granddaughter.

No one word could describe Anahid for she had many positive attributes like, strong determination, poised and grounded, respected by others, full of Wisdom, never judgmental, unconditional Love, had open arms to every individual who touched her soul, putting others' wishes first, generosity, sharing, forgiving, and always helping others to name a few. In her final words she said"Love one another, life is pleasant, never hold unnecessary sadness, I know I am loved, and my heart is happy" and pointed to the heavens above. Amen
