Xiuxia Wang, was born on September 9,1926 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province of China. Ms. Wang went to rest in the arms of our Lord last Sunday (03/05/2017) at the age of 92.
In the year of 1948, Ms. Wang was a clerical typist when she joined the Broadcasting Station Organization in Nanjing. Before the liberation of Nanjing in 1949, she moved to Chongqing Province along with the organization.
After the liberation, on August 1951, Ms. Wang went to purse her degree at Chongqing Medical and Pharmaceutical College. After graduated from college, she played a role as pharmacist for many years at Chongqing Fourth People's Hospital and Chongqing Sixth People's Hospital, where she retired on November,1985. Ms. Wang immigrated to the United States with her family on August,1994.
Ms. Wang married to Mr. Chunwu Chen in Chongqing, China in 1953. They have raised two children: a son and a daughter, whom they deeply proud of. Ms. Wang always has an optimistic attitude to life. She was the leading force to the family to live a happy and healthy life even in the toughest time of being politically oppressed. Her forthrightness, honesty, love and care to others was a precious treasure to the whole family and all the friends around her.
Even though Ms. Wang suffered unimaginable hardship and difficulties in the earlier years, she still instilled the importance of education to her children. Her daughter Shanna Chen is a famous Chinese medicine doctor, who has gained the highest respect and reputation by her excellent skills and treatment to all the patients. Her son, Shawn Chen, the founder of the biggest American-owned university in China, has devoted himself into higher education for years and is now well-known by his great contribution to the educational collaboration between the East and the West.
In Ms. Wang's last years, she lived a blessed life with full of love from her family. She was proud to be a child of the Lord.
