Winny Hidajat

Winny Hidajat (Nio Hwie Nio), 85, born on July 4, 1938, in Indramayu, Indonesia. She passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024 at Pomona Valley Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Winny lived an extraordinary life defined by her boundless spirit, infectious laughter, and ability to find joy and adventure in every moment. At her core, Winny was a nurturer who considered raising her children and doting on her grandchildren to be her greatest achievement in life. She instilled in them the values of honesty, hard work, perseverance, self-confidence, along with a slight hint of fear whenever they were about to do something bad. She enjoyed reading, solving sudoku puzzles, watching Korean dramas, and travelling. Her amazing memory ensured that every precious moment, from childhood experiences to romantic adventures with her husband, remained vivid and close to her heart. Winny was preceeded in death by her husband, Piet, and her son-in-law Francesco. She is survived by her daughters Yulia, Mia, Meike, son-in-law Erik, and grandchildren James and JJ, Matthew and Haron, Michael and Stephanie, and Sarah. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and the countless lives she touched with her boundless love and unforgettable spirit. She will be forever in our hearts.
