William Whiteley

William E.R. Whiteley, 87, of Bermuda Dunes, CA passed away June 24, 2012 in Bermuda Dunes. He was born October 8, 1924 to Frank and Opal Pearl Whiteley in Fort Wayne, IN. He married Sally Ellis Stover on November 20, 1987 in Indio, CA. He was a Professor of Health Science at California State University, Los Angeles for 32 years. He was a member of the Bermuda Dunes Golf and Country Club. He served in the U.S. Army from October 8, 1942 to October 8, 1984 as a Colonel Medical Services. He is survived by his wife, Sally Jo Whiteley, of Bermuda Dunes. He is also survived by his first wife, Lucy O. Whiteley, mother of his daughters, Marilyn Whiteley, of Santa Cruz, CA; Lou Stewart, of Mammoth Lakes, CA; and Rebecca Nelson, of Weatherford, TX; sister, Marilyn Bragalone, of Carlisle, PA and 16 grandchildren from both marriages. Graveside service was held on June 28, 2012 at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA, with full military honors. Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries.
