Mr. William Joseph Malen, 85, born on June 4, 1927, in West Haven, CT, passed away June 1, 2013 with loved ones at his side. He resided in Palm Desert, CA and is survived by his two Grandsons, 10 Great Grandchildren and 17 nephews/nieces. A Veteran of World War 2, he received an Honorable Discharge from the Army with the rank of Corporal. Before his passing, he traveled the world with the love of his life, Marie, by his side. He loved to entertain and enjoy the company of family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church in Palm Desert, Thursday June 27th at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
