William 'Bill' Lane, died Wednesday evening April 29, 2015 at San Dimas Community Hospital in San Dimas CA . His Daughter Brenda, Son Bill and the Holy Spirit were at his side. Bill had been in recent relative good health, but ultimately succumbed to pneumonia.

Born December 2nd, 1915 on a remote farm near Hamilton Kansas; he rode the train too California in 1927. Bill and his beloved deceased wife Olive celebrated their 70th anniversary in 2007.

He is preceded in bereavement by his Wife Olive Lane, Daughter Donna Nelson, Brothers Clarence 'Jack' Lane, Harold 'Charles' Lane, Kenneth Lane and Sisters Leila Lieber and Erma 'Jeanie' Smith.

Bill was known for his very active commitments to Garvalia Presbyterian and Covina First Presbyterian Church. He also was active in PTA, Scouts, Die Casting Association, Member of Lions Club of South El Monte, Midshipman and Monday Bible Study Group. Bill and Olive are best known for leading the church youth group on the annual spring break mission trip to Sells AZ for 27-years. Here the group refurbished the grounds of the Papago's Indian Reservation and built new facilities yearly. An avid traveler; he also visited Europe, Israel, Japan, Yucatan and countless RV trips across the country.

In 1947 founded Lansco Die Casting in his small garage and built it into a thriving company in a 25,000 square foot facility in South El Monte. He sold the company in 1972 and remained there until 1976.

He leaves an enduring legacy to; Daughter, Brenda Newbold, Son William C. Lane, (6)Grandchildren, (4)Great-Grandchildren, (4)Nieces, and (4)Nephews.

A family Graveside service will be held Friday, May 8th 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Covina Hills. Services will be held 2:00pm at First Presbyterian Church Covina, Saturday May 9th with a reception to follow in the Church Fellowship Hall.
