William Allen Jefferson

William Allen Jefferson was born December 23 , 1936, He departed this life on December 8, 2021.

William was born to Joseph and Beatrice Jefferson in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He enjoyed his youth, and education while graduating from Peak High school in Arkadelphia. After graduation, he entered the Navy on January 31, 1955. And then married Dorothy Jean Sanders on February 21, 1956. They moved to Northern California,where he was stationed. To their union four children were born Keith, Phyllis, Jerry, and Derrick.

William completed four years in the Navy and transitioned into employment in Metallurgy at Harvey Aluminum/Martin Marietta in Los Angeles. He then changed his career to Aerospace at Mcdonald Douglas as an Industrial X Ray Technician where he retired after 30 years.

William loved fishing, camping and all outdoors activities. Also spending quality time with family and friends. He also possessed a great gift as a Craftsman, he could build furniture and anything he put his hands on. His ability to build from scratch was uncanny. Education was very important to him. He attended Los Angeles Trade Technical and Long Beach City College where he obtained his Associates of Arts Degree. As well as attended Cal State University Long Beach to continue enhancing his personal knowledge.

William was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Beatrice Jefferson as well as his son Jerry Kendall Jefferson. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Dorothy Jean Jefferson, Sons Keith and Derrick (Victoria) Jefferson, Daughter Phyllis (Herman) Miller, his sister Billie Hunter. Nine Grandchildren and Ten Great-Grandchildren. And a host of relatives and dear friends.
He will be Deeply Missed!
