William Holroyd

June 11, 1943 — February 9, 2025

William "Bill" Holroyd, a devoted family man and proud Navy veteran, passed away peacefully in his home in Stanton, CA, surrounded by loved ones on February 9, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on June 11, 1943, in Kansas City, Kansas, Bill was a remarkable individual whose warmth and kindness touched everyone he met.

Bill dedicated a significant part of his life to a fruitful career at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing, where he showcased his talents while fostering countless relationships. His selflessness and willingness to help others extended far beyond the workplace, as he found joy in supporting and organizing work-related golf tournaments. Bill had a special place in his heart for the military, proudly displaying his family members who served in all the various branches.

His colorful personality was complemented by his love for collecting, whether it was sports memorabilia, military hats, or anything that had to do with his grandchildren. Bill's vivacity was evident in his hobbies, including a particular fondness for shopping on Amazon—a joyful pursuit that filled his home with treasures. One of his family's most vivid sports memories is of him packing up his entire room full of Chiefs memorabilia in a fit of frustration whenever the team was struggling, yet his loyalty never wavered year after year.

Family was at the core of Bill's life. He is most proud of sharing 58 years of marriage with his wife Jo Baby. They lived life to the fullest, raising 3 children along the way. They loved to take family trips which always involved seeing old friends or family. He was a faithful and devoted husband until the very end with the last few years having to care for his Jo Baby as she suffered from her own health issues.

He cherished the precious moments spent watching his grandchildren play sports, whether from the bleachers or through a screen. The passion for sports ran deep within him. Bill was not just a spectator; he was a staunch advocate for his family, an unwavering supporter in all their endeavors. He was proud to share all the achievements of his children and grandchildren with anyone who would listen.

Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was the pillar of his family and helped them with anything they needed in life. He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Rita; his children, Young and Kristi Holroyd, Wendee and Chris Cadacio, and Josh and Susie Holroyd; his grandchildren, Aaron and Brittany Holroyd, Michael and Brittany Marchette, Kilee & Micah Scheibe, Parker Cadacio, Karsen, Kaden & Kamren Holroyd, Serenity, Trinity & James Holroyd; his great-grandchildren, Jack, Paisley and Kimberly Holroyd. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Rick and Connie Pearson, sister-in-law, Janene Godfrey, brother, John Holroyd and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alice and Earl Holroyd; his brothers Harold and James L. Holroyd; and his in-laws, John and Dorothy Pearson,
