Indio, Ca

William (Bill) Henry White passed away at home in Indio, California on Sunday, May 4th at the age of 90 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Bill was born on September 14, 1934 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He served in the United States Navy and was a Korean War Veteran.

Bill worked as an accountant and tax preparer, though his greatest impact was in his 23 years of work at the A.B.C. Recovery and Rehabilitation Center in Indio. He was the Assistant Director and Chief Financial Officer, and also served as a board member. Recovery was of great importance to Bill and he positively impacted many lives through his work there.

Bill was a devoted husband to his wife, Sunny, and a caring step-father and grandfather. He enjoyed his retirement years traveling the world by cruise ship with his wife, and rescuing a number of dogs, whom Bill loved and spoiled rotten. As an avid football fan, Bill rooted for Alabama State and the Green Bay Packers. He was also a history buff and enjoyed reading and watching movies.

Bill is survived by Sunny, his wife of 34 years, 3 step-children, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Bill’s life will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025,  from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Coachella Valley Christian Church, 50100 Jackson Street, Coachella, CA 92236.
