William J. Flynn

Sandown, NH: William J. Flynn, Jr., 84, of Sandown died on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Wingate Nursing Home in Haverhill, MA.

Born, raised, and educated in Lawrence, MA son of the late William J. and Eva (Lannerville) Flynn, he attended St. Augustine's School and graduated from Lawrence High School with the Class of 1948. He went on to attend the Lawrence Evening Industrial School and served in the Army National Guard with the 26th Yankee Division.

A member of Local 103 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Dorchester, MA, Mr. Flynn worked as an electrician for sixty-two years at many local companies and institutions including Western Electric Company, Raytheon Corp., Gillette Corp., Wang Labs, Hewlett Packard, and Lowell Technical Institute before retiring in 1989.

A member of St. Anne's Parish, Hampstead, he traveled extensively with the Rainbow Club of St. Theresa's Parish in Methuen, MA. He enjoyed many cruises from Aruba to Alaska. He also enjoyed spending winters in Stuart and Punta Gorda, FL and summers at his home in Seabrook, NH.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Marvin) (McIsaac) Flynn, his step-son Christopher McIsaac of Sandown, and three grandchildren, Christopher W. McIsaac and Josephine D. McIsaac of Tennessee, and Tyler J. McIsaac of Haverhill, MA.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will take place on Thursday at 3:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
