William Paul Escoffery

d. July 17, 2021

William Paul Escoffery, lovingly known as "Paul "passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 17, 2021 in Fontana, California due to cancer at the age of 84. As with all experiences in his life, Paul managed his illness with strength, humility, and grace.

Paul was born in The Republic of Panama in the city of Colon to Evelyn Carter Escoffery and Robert Escoffery. He was the eldest of six siblings: Bob, Judy, Gloria, Ramon, Ramona, and Danny. He took pride in helping his mother care for the family as the quintessential big brother; always in charge but with a loving hand and encouraging words.

In the summer of 1960, Paul was introduced to Claudine Alexander at a picnic. The attraction was mutual and within a year they were married. In 1962 they immigrated to the United States and began their journey together in a newly adopted country. Within a few years their family grew, giving life to three children: Reinaldo, Veronica, and Valerie.

Through the triumphs and tribulations of life, they shared 61 years of love and a strong, faith-filled partnership. Together they raised 3 successful children and were blessed to witness the births and growth of their 5 grandchildren: Tyler, Prestin, Elva LaRae, Esperanza, and Gabriella.

For Paul, faith and dedication to family, friends, and being of service to others were the cornerstones of his life. He demonstrated this daily and made it a point to share his love and support with loved ones and in serving the Sacred Heart Catholic church community.

In addition to his soulmate, Claudine and his children, Paul is survived by his grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in passing by his Mother, Evelyn Carter Vrieux; Father Robert Escoffery; Stepfather, Felix Vrieux; and Sister, Judy Escoffery.

Funeral Services are under the direction of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Interment Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.
