William Deralas (Loving Father, Grandfather and Husband), 88, of Chino Hills, California, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 5, 2019 at his home. A celebration of life service will be held at 8:00 am, Friday, October 11 at Saint Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 20340 E Covina Blvd, Covina, California 91724, where Father Konstantinos Douvikas will be officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Covina Hills.

William was born June 3, 1931 in Florina, Greece. At the age of 19, he left his homeland on a venture that brought him into the United States through port in Staten Island, New York. After landing there, he visited relatives in the state of Texas, thinking that was where he would settle. However destiny brought him to Barberton, Ohio where after he met his bride of 62 years, Anastasia Deralas, and ended up making that his permanent home. Since 2003, his residence changed to Chino Hills, California where all of the remaining family had settled. He was a high school graduate with an Associates Degree in Drafting. On September 29, 1957 he married the former Anastasia Harisis in Akron, Ohio. William was employed as a draftsman for the Ohio Brass Company along with Babcock and Wilcox in Ohio and enjoyed his trade. He enjoyed his work almost through retirement after which most was replaced with Computer Aided Design (CAD) of which he was not proficient. He was a simple and honest man. He spent most of his time assisting others and giving and spreading "Love" and never hesitated to share a smile. He also enjoyed reading, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

William is survived by his three sons, Peter Deralas and his wife Fatana of Chino Hills, CA, Dean Deralas of Huntington Beach, CA, and Chris Deralas of Chino Hills, CA; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Zoe Deralas.
