Haverhill, MA: William E. Clark, Jr., 58, of Haverhill died on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer.
Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, son of Arline (Gelineau) and the late William E. Clark, he attended St. Joseph's School, the Fox School, and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1974.
Employed by the DeMoulas Market Basket Supermarkets for forty-three years, Mr. Clark had worked for many years as the manager of the Dairy and Frozen Foods Department at the Westgate Center store in Haverhill. For the last ten years, he has been employed in the Shipping and Receiving Department of the Fletcher Street store in Lowell. He also owned and operated Pentucket Woodworking, Furniture Making, and Carpentry for many years.
An avid fisherman, Mr. Clark was a member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and the former St. Joseph's Parish.
He is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Frances B. (Bedard) Clark, his mother, Arline (Gelineau) Clark of Salem, NH, four step-sons, Shane Lambert of Nashua, NH, Mark Lambert and his wife Erin of Atkinson, NH, Keith Lambert and his partner Lucy of Derry, NH, and Chris Lambert and his wife Jenn of Templeton, two brothers, Stephen G. Clark and his wife Lee of Haverhill and Thomas G. Clark of Haverhill, three sisters, Anne M. Nelson and her husband Keith of Chester, NH, Kathleen Lavallee and her husband Thomas of Derry, NH, and Maureen Meletis and her husband John of Derry, eight grandchildren, one uncle, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery, Newton, NH.
