William G. "Bill" Bucuzzo, age 86 of East Kingston, NH passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 22, 2015 with his wife, Ellie by his side. Bill was born on November 29, 1928 in Haverhill, MA the son of the late Patrick J. and Eva M. (Kosian) Bucuzzo. He was raised and educated in Haverhill, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
As a young man Bill worked in several Haverhill shoe factories, and later as an interior house painter. He also worked for many years for the City of Haverhill, Waste Water Treatment Plant, retiring in 1994. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and liked to make people laugh. Bill enjoyed working with his hands building and fixing things, hunting and fishing, and cooking with and for his family. He and his wife Ellie liked taking trips to Old Orchard Beach and watching classic movies together. In recent years, he especially enjoyed sitting with Ellie in their garage, and offering coffee to their neighborhood friends who frequently stopped by to chat at their "Black Top Café."
Bill is survived by his wife of 27 years, Eleanor M. "Ellie" (Antonelli) Bucuzzo of East Kingston, NH; his son, Steven S. Bucuzzo and his wife, Lynette of Haverhill; his daughters, Cheryl A. Ferguson of Plaistow, NH, Kathy S. Bucuzzo of Los Angeles, CA, and Karen M. Boucher and her husband, Richard of Livermore, CA. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; his sisters, Carol Cosio of Moultonborough, NH, and Patricia Crouse of Fort Worth, TX; his brother, Joseph Bucuzzo and his spouse, James Boone of Portland, OR, and his sister-in-law, Estelle Bucuzzo of Haverhill; as well as his former spouse Jacqueline E. Killilea of Haverhill. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. Bill was pre-deceased by his brothers James and Patrick Bucuzzo.
Family and friends are invited to attend Bill's Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 10 AM – 12:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A), Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12:15 PM. U.S. Navy Military honors will also be rendered following the funeral services.
