William M."bill" Broderick

William M. "Bill" Broderick, age 65 of Haverhill, passed away at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. He was born in Norwood, MA on July 8, 1950 the son of the late Thomas J. and Anna J. (Radzwell) Broderick. He was raised and educated in the Boston area. Bill worked as a signal maintainer for CSX Railroad in Framingham, MA for over 20 years. He retired in October 2015.

Bill had a passion for motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons'. He and his wife, Althea spent the past 15 years travelling all over the U.S. on his bike. He was an avid reader. He loved spending time with all three of his families, his biological family, his CSX family and his biker family. He enjoyed listening to classic 70's rock, especially on vinyl. Bill was a loving, generous man who always had your back. He lived life to the fullest in the short 65 years that he was with us.

He is survived by his wife, Althea B. (Noel) Broderick of Haverhill. His son, Thomas Broderick of Gardner, MA. His step-sons; Michael Orne of Cape Cod and Daniel Schmidt of Haverhill. His daughters; Guinevere A. Broderick of Louisville, KY, Kerriann H. Pittman of Manchester, NH, Elizabeth A. Broderick of Gardner, MA, Charlotte Broderick of Gardner, MA and Stephanie Hebert of Gardner, MA. His step-daughter, Taqua Swift and husband, Andrew of VT. His brothers; Thomas Broderick of Norwood, MA, Michael Broderick of Maine and Joseph Broderick and wife, Diane of Blackstone, MA. His sisters; Mary Rubello and husband, Ed of The Villages, FL, Kathy Williams and husband, Robert of San Diego, CA and Betty Crossman of ME. Eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.

There are no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a "Remembrance Celebration" on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 2 PM at the Wilbur M. Comeau American Legion Post 4 (Legion Farm) on Main Street in Haverhill, MA. Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH 03865 is entrusted with the arrangements.
