Atkinson, NH: William L. Brennan, Jr., 48, of Atkinson and formerly of Danville, Plaistow, and Woburn, MA died on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

Born, raised, and educated in Woburn, MA, son of the late William L. and Margaret (Maher) Brennan, he graduated from Woburn High School with the Class of 1982. He attended New England Tractor Trailer School and worked as a truck driver for Northside Carting for 17 years.

He enjoyed auto and home repair and was an accomplished vocalist. He was an avid softball player and played in several leagues, including the Irish American Club of Woburn. He was also a former coach for the Danville Girls Softball League.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years Mia M. (Santoro) Brennan, five daughters, Ashley Harnum and Amanda Harnum, both of Wells, ME, Melissa Brennan and Mary Beth Brennan, both of Reading, MA, and Hannah B. Brennan of Atkinson, four sisters, Margaret McArdle of Littleton, MA, Marilyn Colletti of Wareham, MA, Maureen Brennan of Littleton, MA, and Michelle Brennan of Woburn, MA, 1 grandson Parker, a nephew who was like his brother, Timothy McArdle of Hampstead, his best friend Wayne Dickey of Billerica, MA, Bonnie and Richard Dickey, who were like second parents, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister Marlene Beverage.

Relatives and friends may call of Monday, September 30, 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Holy Angels Cemetery, Plaistow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name be made to The Fund to Benefit Hannah B. Brennan, checks made payable to Mia M.
