William Beeghley

Jul 29, 1941 — Jun 5, 2026

Surrounded by his loving family, William (“Bill”) Clyde Beeghley passed away on June 5, 2026, one month shy of his 85th birthday. Born in Long Beach, California, July 29, 1941, Bill was the son of Ray and Mildred Beeghley.

Bill is survived by Glynn, his soulmate and wife of over 25 years; daughters Barbara (and Bill), Camaryn (and John), and Damien (and Gavin); sons Steven (and Jackie) and Darin (and Sandra); grandchildren Hudson, Garner, Owen, Nathan, Beckham, Blanka, and Ella; sister Jean (and Glenn); nieces Jennifer (and Kevin), Susan (and Bill), and Amy; and nephew Jeff (and Shaye).

Bill attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, where he developed a lifelong love for cars – especially the fast ones. While in high school, Bill had a brush with national fame after sliding halfway down the Firefall location at Yosemite (https://yosemite.org/stories/bill-beeghley/). He cheated death by catching a ledge on his way down, remaining awake and alert for 18 hours while park officials worked on his rescue the next day.

After high school, Bill attended Long Beach City College, graduating with an Associate degree. From there, he attended Arizona State College in Flagstaff (now Northern Arizona University), graduating with a business degree in 1965.

When starting his family after college, Bill began working in corporate mainframe computer sales – a career he dedicated himself to for over 25 years. An avid golfer, Bill left the tech industry in the early '90s to purchase and operate four Nevada Bob’s Golf franchises in Southern California. For 15 years, this venture allowed him to perfectly combine his love of people, sales, and his passion for the game.

In 1992, Bill met Glynn in Redlands, CA, where the attraction was instant. Glynn was the perfect match for Bill, as she too valued family over all else. In a later-in-life, Brady Bunch-inspired union in Hawaii, Glynn brought two daughters (Camaryn and Damien) to blend with Bill’s family (Barbara, Steven, and Darin). A loving and adoring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Bill was deeply admired both personally and professionally. Above all else, Bill loved his family, and his unwavering dedication to his family serves as an enduring role model for everyone who knew him.
