Wilfredo (Willie) Montoya

Wilfredo "Willie" Gabriel Montoya, a devoted Full-time Dad & Husband for almost 30 years and part-time goofball had succeded in establishing his family's founding pillars with this as his legacy, for future generations to come. Born on May 26, 1966, in Marikina City, Philippines, Wilfredo's journey came to a peaceful end on July 24, 2024, surrounded by all of his loved ones until his final breath. A peaceful and beautiful passing in transition to his next life at a higher place.

Wilfredo touched the lives of many,  and is well-known to be a man of action, kindness, respect, and God. In Willie's prime days, he has obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Technological Institute of the Philippines. While he faced many of life's toughest challenges, he had always faced them with humility, positive attitude, and strong perserverance , while never forgetting his unyielding devotion to God.

In his leisure time, Wilfredo found happiness in the simplicity of gardening/landscaping and shared his competitive passion for the LA Lakers. His presence illuminated every room he entered, leaving an indelible mark on all he met.

Beyond his professional achievements, Willie has found solace and joy in his role as a loving father and husband. It has always been Willie's lifelong work to provide and cherish his beautiful spouse, Marilyn Montoya, and his two boys, Kyle & Jaden Montoya. Wilfredo's proudest accomplishment was paving the way for his family so they could have a good life and achieve many opportunities to be successful in the US.

Services to honor and remember Wilfredo "Willie" Gabriel Montoya will be held at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Church of our Heritage in Covina Hills, CA. Note that this is NOT in the Chapel, the Church is located further up the entrance, between Via Verde St and Memory Cir. Willie's Funeral Service will take place on Friday August 9, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM to 9:00PM. There will be a dove release after the 5PM mass, at around 6PM. 

Wilfredo Montoya may have departed from this earthly realm, but his spirit lives on through the legacy he had created and built for many generations to come. May his memory be a blessing to all who mourn his loss as they carry forward the values he instilled in them.
