In loving memory of Wilfredo Chua, who left this world on December 2, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on March 20, 1944, in Manila, Philippines, Wilfredo, or Willie to many, was a kind and generous person, embodying love and compassion throughout his life.
Willie, known to his family and friends as a patient and welcoming soul, constantly made others feel at ease. His cheerful spirit was matched only by his great sense of humor, which brought laughter and warmth to every gathering he attended. A devoted father, he took immense joy in caring for his three daughters, Trisha, Joy, and Genny, ensuring not only that they felt loved but also that they enjoyed good food together – his favorite being any delicious dish featuring Ube. His nurturing nature extended beyond just his immediate family, as he was a cherished friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
As a husband to Pinky, Willie shared a life of companionship and mutual respect. Their bond is a testament to the love and care that he poured into raising their children and being a guiding force in the lives of his 12 grandchildren, including Kevin, Karl, Kaitlyn, Keith, and Kathryn, along with the rest of the grandkids residing in the Philippines.
Willie's legacy is enriched by the memories he created and shared with those around him. He was not just a father, but a loving grandfather, son, brother, cousin, and a good friend – a title he wore with pride. Survived by his sisters, Beth and Flor, and brothers-in-law, Tony and Boy, his family will continue to cherish his memory and honor the lessons he imparted.
Willie now joins his beloved mother, Salud, father, Peter, and brother, Charlie, in eternal peace. His departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of many, but his spirit will remain alive in the countless stories and memories held dear by all whose lives he touched.
A funeral service to celebrate Willie’s life will be held on December 17, 2025, at the Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Memory Chapel in Covina, California. His family invites everyone who knew and loved him to join them in honoring a remarkable man who truly understood what it meant to live fully and love deeply.
