Wayne Howard Shirck

Wayne Howard Shirck, 83, born on March 25, 1930 in Toppenish, Washington, passed away June 12, 2013. He resided in Long Beach, California. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California. He was born in Washington, then moved and grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho. He attended University of Idaho to earn a BA degree in Engineering.

Wayne worked at as an Electrical Engineer for Hughes over 30 years. He worked on many well known space projects such as the Surveyor Moon Mission,
the F-14 and f-18 fighter planes and the Stealth Bomber Radar systems. Most of his projects were TOP SECRET!
He was in the Army, and served in Korea.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife Diane, his sister Evelyn McConnaughey of Eugene OR. and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Wayne was a man with a very strong faith in God. He loved his church very much and always put church work before anything.
He was a very moral person, he always tried to do the right thing! He was a very generous man. He was a true gentleman. He always felt very blessed for all that he had and wanted to share his blessings. But most of all he was a NICE guy, a sweet guy and his sense of humor never quit. He was pleased by simple things,
the morning comics, going out to lunch with friends. He loved to play solitaire on his ipad, and do the daily Sudoku puzzle. He also loved watching old reruns of the twilight zone. He also took much delight in making his wife happy, and he did that very well.
He will be missed by many.
