Warren John Murphy, 92, born on January 19, 1921 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away August 10, 2013. He resided in Rancho Santa Margarita, California at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.

Warren Murphy was born on January 19, 1921 to James and Irma Murphy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He had an older brother, Jim, and an identical twin brother, Bill. He loved sports and music. He played oboe, clarinet, and alto saxophone in various bands. Warren served in the Army for 3 ½ years during WWII. He was a Master Sergeant with the 65th Medical Depot Company stationed in England. Following the war he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota in 1949 and then moved to California. He met Shirley Fiester in January of 1950 at a YMCA restaurant and they were married nine months later. They were wonderful parents to their two children: Kevin and Malinda. From 1957 forward the family lived in Anaheim, California and always had great fun attending church, going to sporting events, and taking vacations together. Warren worked as an accountant with various companies (Richfield Oil, General Telephone Company, Walker and Lee Real Estate) and several Orange County School Districts (Tustin, Newport-Mesa and Anaheim). After retirement he worked as a tax preparer and financial advisor. His dear wife Shirley passed away in 1986. A couple of years later he attended his high school's 50 year reunion where he met Jane McMillan. They were married on June 9, 1990 and moved to Rancho Santa Margarita in 1991. Warren was preceded in death by his brothers, his wife Shirley, his second wife Jane, and his son Kevin. He is survived by his daughter Malinda, son-in-law Jerry, daughter-in-law Tina; his grandchildren: Amy, Jenna, Allyson and Scott; and his great-grandchildren: Madeline and Maren.
