Warren R. Brown

Warren R. Brown, Jr., age 75, a resident of Danville for forty-eight years, died on January 14, 2016 at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont, NH.

Son of the late Francena L. Brown, he was born on July 23, 1940 in Rochester, NH. He was the owner and operator of Brownie's Garage in Danville for thirty years. He had also been employed at Fernald Lumber in Nottingham, Merrimack Paving, and Fremont Paving.

Mr. Brown's true passion was for cars. He built stock cars in his garage and was the builder and owner of the "Lady Lisa". He also helped his son-in-law build his own stock car and named it the "Lady Lori". An avid NASCAR, and especially Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, and Bill Elliot, fan, Mr. Brown also collected racecar figurines, filling all of the shelves in his home. He loved to go to Star Speedway, which he called his "home track", and attended races nearly every Saturday night. He loved watching his grandson, Brian, race and enjoyed going to Lee Speedway for special events. Mr. Brown also had a passion for pugs.

He was predeceased in 2013 by his wife of fifty-two years, Charla (Emery) Brown, and is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Smith and her husband James of Danville, and Lori Healey of Danville, five grandchildren, Brian Healey, Jennifer Healey, Jeff Smith, Heather Smith, and Michael Smith all of Danville, and a great granddaughter, Kaylee A. Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Service of Remembrance on Wednesday, January 20 at 1 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH.
