Wanda Wooley Obituary
On December 11, 2018, Wanda Wooley went home to be with Jesus. After many health challenges over the past few years, she took her last breaths in the comfort of her own home in Palm Desert, surrounded by loved ones.
Wanda was born in Casper, Wyoming on July 2, 1942 to loving parents, James and Beaulah Warford. She had four brothers who looked out for her and treated her like the queen she was. She met the love of her life, Charles Wooley, as a teenager while visiting her brothers in California. She was only 18 when they married and began their life together.
Together, they started a home, raised three daughters, and built a church in Cathedral City, California. She spent her life serving others, loving her family, and ministering to her church community. She impacted so many lives in her time on this earth. Most importantly, she loved Jesus and desired to share His joy with those around her.
Wanda is survived by her husband of over 57 years, Charles A. Wooley. She is also survived by her three daughters and their husbands: Jacqueline and Travis Burns, Michelle and David Adams, and Sandra and Thomas Balli. Additionally, she left behind eight grandchildren: Christina Haemmerle, Dominic Balli, Jason Burns, Scott Burns, Crystal Trevino, Breanna Cronen, David Adams Jr., and Chelsie Balli. She also left behind ten great-grandchildren: Selah Balli, Solomon Balli, Kingston Balli, Colton Burns, Maverick Burns, Adalin Cronen, Skyler Haemmerle, Lincoln Burns, and Charlotte Joy Cronen. She is also survived by her three older brothers and one younger, respectively: Mel, Lee, Joe, and Don Warford. She had many nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will miss her, as well as all of those who considered her a friend, mentor, mother-figure, and example of Jesus' love.
Wanda laughed often, smiled always, and loved big. Her joy and love for life were infectious. She was confident in who she was and unapologetic about her love for God. She never stopped believing in His goodness and hoped for everyone to experience the same hope she had.
