Virginia Adrianna Molina passed away peacefully in Pasadena, CA on November 5, 2024, at the age of 87, after a brave battle with dementia. Born Virginia Sofia Heredia on June 18, 1937, she was a woman who embraced life to the fullest, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, and compassion.
Adrianna was predeceased by her husband, Luis Molina; her mother, Ester Font; her father, Guillermo Heredia; and her sister "Bocha". She is survived by her devoted daughter, Andrea Molina, and her brother, Guillermo Heredia and nieces and nephews. Her friends, family, along with all who knew her, will forever cherish the love, joy, and friendship she brought into their lives.
Adrianna worked as a social worker for 38 years for the County of Los Angeles, a profession she loved deeply. She was passionate about helping others and made such an impact in the lives of so many people and families. Throughout her career, she demonstrated compassion and an unwavering commitment to her community, retiring at the age of 80. Even after retirement, her spirit of service lived on, as she continued to contribute to causes she cared deeply about like the food pantry, ASPCA, and St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
Adrianna’s smile would light up any room and her laughter brought joy to anyone who had the pleasure of making her laugh. She had a special gift for storytelling, often sharing unique memories from her childhood and her career life with an infectious sense of humor that kept everyone around her smiling. Adrianna took pride in being a devoted mother, sister, wife, and friend. Her love for her friends and family was immeasurable, and her loyalty to them was unwavering. She was a lover of life. She approached each day with enthusiasm and a deep sense of gratitude for the simple things in life.
Her caring heart, her optimism, and her radiant smile will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. A private family memorial will be held to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Adrianna’s memory, as a way to continue her legacy of helping children and those in need.
Rest in peace, Adrianna. You will forever be loved and remembered.
