Virginia Joan Blizard

Born Virginia Joan Blizard, on October 4, 1921, in Birmingham, Alabama. She resided in Alhambra, Ca and was 99 years old at the time God called her home. She is survived by her Daughter; Linda, Three Grandchildren; Michael, Robert and Christin, Two Granddaughter In-laws; Krista and Sara, Five Great Grandchildren; Troy, Paige, Sean, Ferguson, and Ford. Vincenza, Virgie, Aunt Ging and Granny Goose are just a few of the names she went by. Virginia loved and was married to Jim Blizard for 72 years. She was a butcher/meat packer for the Pioneer Market. She loved Jesus and volunteered her time with the Salvation Army for over 20 years. She attended church at St Thomas Moore In Alhambra. Virginia had a passion for fashion, and shopping. She loved spending time with her sister Rose. They would get home from a long day of shopping and jump right back on the phone to talk about all the latest celebrity gossip. When she was cooking for her grandkids you could often hear her humming in the kitchen. She looked forward to visits from her niece Marilyn, and she enjoyed music from Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Stevie Wonder. But, most of all she loved her family and chocolate. A beautiful soul she was......in fact so beautiful, God let us borrow her for 100 years. The Angels, and her loved ones who passed on, were waiting patiently when she transitioned back to God on 5/6/2021. May she Rest in Paradise.
