Vincent Villagran, 92, born on July 29, 1933 in Gallup New Mexico, passed away on October 10, 2025 in San Dimas, California. He was raised in the Boyle Heights barrio of East LA and graduated from Roosevelt High School. Go Rough Riders!! He lived a life of humor, adventure and success. Vince, also known as Don, married the love of his life, Victoria Villagran in 1959 and this December marks their 66th anniversary. They have four children - Vince, Victor, Valerie and Vanessa - 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Vince received his Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degrees from Cal State Los Angeles. His career began as an elementary school teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District and culminated as a Region Administrator, retiring in 1993 after 34 years of service. His adventures included traveling to six of the seven continents and across much of the United States. He loved horseback riding and participated in several cattle drives. He was an athlete who enjoyed playing basketball and tennis well into adulthood. Vince was a master jokester and had a knack for telling jokes with perfect timing. Because of this, he made a name for himself and was a loved and well-known customer among many local businesses. He was also an author who published several short stories and two books, and was an activist who played a crucial role in the Chicano student movement in the late 1960s.

Above all, Don valued family... he was a loving husband, a supportive father, a silly grandfather and a proud great-grandfather. He is preceded by his parents, Calistro and Cruz Villagran, his older brother, Manuel Villagran and his younger sisters Josie Rascon and Mary Eleanor Gonzales. He is survived by his amazing wife, Victoria, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
