Vince was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Vince and Elizabeth Hambright.

Vince dropped out of school in the 8th grade to start working and help his family financially. Vince later lied about his age to gain early entry into the U.S. Navy where he learned the printing trade which he pursued his entire career.

Vince was married to his first wife Ruth and had a daughter named Jannie. Vince married his second wife, Ruth (aka Futie), and blended two beautiful families of four children; Leslie Griffith, John Howard, David Howard, and Vince Hambright. Vince and his wife, Futie, along with their 4 kids, settled in Orange County, CA where they raised their kids and lived out their lives. Vince had 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. They attended the Anaheim Seventh-Day Adventist Church where they grew in their faith and walk with Jesus.

Vince was deeply in love with his wife and suffered a tremendous loss when she died suddenly in 1999. He was widowed for 23 years before he died, as he was determined to remain faithful to her and be reunited with his bride again in Heaven. Vince frequently referred to his kids and grandkids as his "flock" and he was VERY proud of them.

After Futie passed away, Vince's family made a conscious effort to help Vince live some of his "bucket list" dreams. He was able to fish the Green River in Wyoming, fished Alaska twice with his sons and grandson, bear hunted in Washington State, made frequent desert trips shooting with his son, rode shotgun at 160 mph in a Nascar racecar, went sky-diving at 88 with his grandson, and was his grandson's first passenger as a new private pilot. Needless to say he lived his life to the fullest and was always up for an adventure.

Vince knew Jesus and grew more devoted to Him over the years. Into his early nineties, Vince still started and ended his day physically on his knees praying to his Lord and Savior.

Vince was deeply devoted to his family and worked multiple jobs at a time to support them so Futie never had to work. He never asked for much and never had spending money in his pocket, however he was proud to provide for his family.

Vince had bit of a wild past, however he evolved into a loving and God-fearing man devoted to his Lord and his family. He was determined to live his life in a manner that would please his God.
