Victorina Estrada, a loving and vibrant soul whose laughter filled the hearts of those around her, passed away on September 14, 2024, in Rosemead, California. Born on November 8, 1937, in Mesitas Otaez, Durango, Mexico, she radiated strength and joy throughout her life, serving as an unwavering anchor for her family and friends.
Victorina was a woman of remarkable character. She possessed a strong will and an honest demeanor, traits that drew people to her. With her caring nature and infectious humor, she created an environment where love flourished. Central to her existence was her family, her proudest accomplishment, which she cherished above all else. The countless moments spent together, especially during celebrations like her birthdays where tamales filled the air with warmth and comfort, will be forever etched in the memories of her loved ones.
Her passion for sewing, cooking, and knitting showcased her nurturing spirit and dedication to creating a loving home. Victorina's giving heart extended beyond her family, as she was always there for those in need, ready to lend a helping hand or a kind word. She was not just a mother; she was a friend and a confidante to her daughters: Guadalupe Sarabia, Elia Leyva, Bertha Estrada, Lorenza Estrada, Graciela Estrada, and Vicky Ibarra and Adriana Ramos. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love and care. Victorina also leaves behind a vibrant legacy of 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom will strive to exemplify her values of compassion and strength.
She reunites now with her beloved husband, Monico Estrada, whose presence she missed dearly. Their bond, forged through years of shared love and experiences, is a testament to the profound connections that can exist between two souls.
Her life will be celebrated in a series of services at Forest Lawn - Glendale. Visitation will be held on October 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at the Church of the Recessional on October 2, starting at 5:00 PM and continuing into another service on October 3 at 9:00 AM.
As we remember Victorina, let us hold dear the lessons she imparted through her actions: to love fiercely, to give selflessly, and to always stand strong in the face of adversity. May her spirit live on in the hearts of those she touched, guiding them through the joys and challenges of life as she so gracefully did.
