INDIO - Victoria “Vicky” Lopez, born November 27, 1954, in the city of Indio, California, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2025. A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful daughter, Vicky lived a life deeply rooted in love, service, and faith.
Family was not just important to Vicky - it was her purpose. She now joins her beloved father, Luis Bautista; brothers, Luis Bautista Jr., and Enrique “Ricky” Bautista; sister, Alice Moreno; and niece, Yvette Moreno, who preceded her in death and now welcome her into eternal peace.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Roy Lopez; her children, Rick Sanchez, Paul Sanchez, Andrea Sanchez, and Yvonne Reyes; her dear mother, Mary Duran; and her twelve grandchildren, whom she adored and treasured beyond measure. Vicky was immensely proud of her children and the lives they built. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren, who filled her life with laughter, love, and endless pride.
Vicky dedicated many years of her professional life to serving others. She began her career with GTE (General Telephone & Electronics) and later continued her service with the Coachella Valley Unified School District, where she worked in administration. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication reflected her strong values and unwavering commitment to helping those around her.
A woman of deep Catholic faith, Vicky lived guided by compassion, humility, and generosity. She never missed an opportunity to help someone in need, offering comfort and kindness to family, friends, and strangers alike. Her faith was evident not only in prayer, but in action - through her patience, her giving spirit, and the love she shared so freely. Her warm smile and genuine heart left a lasting impression on all who were blessed to know her.
While her passing leaves a profound void, her family finds comfort in the promise of eternal life through Christ. They trust that she now rests in God’s loving embrace, reunited with those who have gone before her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A viewing will be held on January 8th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn - Coachella, located at 51990 Jackson Street, Coachella, California 92236. Funeral services will take place on January 9th at 12:00 p.m. at the same location, with burial to follow at the Coachella Valley Cemetery.
