Victoria Bolanos

October 4, 1938 — February 13, 2023

Victoria Elbe Bolanos, age 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her daughters on Monday, February 13, 2023, in Huntington Beach, CA. She was born October 4, 1938, in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Guillermo Guerra and Olimpia Salazar. She was the oldest of seven children. She attended college while helping raise her younger siblings. She immigrated to the United States on July 4, 1968. She soon married and gave birth to two daughters, Hannelored (Hanna) and Vicky. Victoria raised her two daughters as a single mother, working hard to ensure her daughters had everything they needed. She helped put both her daughters through college. Both Hanna and Vicky went on to be college graduates, have successful careers and marry wonderful men. Victoria's pride and joy were her daughters. That was until her grandchildren arrived. Logan, her first grandson was the love of her life. She was the most adoring grandmother. Soon after, Evan, her second grandson arrived. He had her wrapped around his finger the minute she laid eyes on him. And just when she thought she could not love anymore, Sienna, her first and only granddaughter arrived. Sienna was a miracle baby to all but Victoria because she always knew a granddaughter would eventually arrive.

Victoria was the happiest when she was with her family. She enjoyed countless trips to Disneyland, Rose Parade, Disney on Ice, traveling with her daughters all over the world and visiting family throughout the United States and Ecuador. Victoria truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, sitting at the sidelines of her grandsons' sporting events or having a tea party with her granddaughter.

Victoria was pure joy and pure love. She was selfless, caring, compassionate, and had a heart of gold. Her smile and laugh lit up any room she entered. She loved her family and friends. To know her, was to love her. Her legacy will live on through her daughters and grandchildren.

Victoria was preceded in death by her mother, Olimpia Salazar, father, Guillermo Guerra, and Sister, Nancy Viteri. She is survived by her brothers Carlos Echeverria, Pancho Guerra, Bolivar Guerra, Sisters Teresa Echeverria, and Gloria Guerra Alvarez, daughters Hannelored Dirnberger and Vicky Roberto, Son-in-laws, Oscar Dirnberger and Demetrius Roberto, Grandchildren, Logan Roberto, Evan Roberto, and Sienna Dirnberger and multiple nieces and nephews.
