Victor C. Pimentel, 80 years old, peacefully passed away on September 16, 2025, at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California surrounded by his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
Victor was born on April 21, 1945, in San Antonio, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines to Camillo and Clara Pimentel. He was the 10th of 11 children and the youngest boy in his family. He attended NVSAT High School, where he met the love of his life, Imelda. He graduated high school in 1963 and continued his studies in Textile Engineering at Mapua University for 1 year. He transferred to FEATI University in Manila and graduated as an Aeronautical Engineer in 1968. After Victor and Imelda finished college, they got married on September 20, 1969. They were blessed with 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl.
Even after finishing college in Manila, Victor decided to continue living in Bambang to be close to his family. To financially support his family, he drove his own passenger jeepney and maintained his rice fields. In 1976, Imelda had an opportunity to work in the United States. Together, they took the chance of a lifetime to migrate to the U.S. They left their 3 young sons in the care of family while he and Imelda (7 months pregnant) pursued the American Dream. After 1 week in the U.S., he found a job at First American Title Company of Los Angeles (FATCOLA). With the help of a close friend, he found a new job at Dameron Alloy Foundry in 1978. He was a Wax Injector mainly making parts for the aerospace and defense industry. He enjoyed working at Dameron Alloy Foundry and with the Dameron Family for over 30 years until 2010. His hard work made it possible to bring over his 3 young sons to America in 1979 and support his family of 6 in a new world.
Victor was a dedicated family man, who took pride in his family. He took pleasure in being surrounded by family and friends. Every weekend was spent barbequing or cooking large, delicious meals for his family and inviting friends over to share a meal. He also enjoyed going out to spend time with them. Victor was fond of driving, so family vacations were spent driving to locations that the family can stay for the weekend. He was a basketball and boxing fan. He enjoyed watching the NBA games and major boxing matches with a group of friends. He was an avid reader of the newspaper and kept up to date with the current events in the United States, the Philippines, and other worldly news. He appreciated a great philosophical debate, which he passed on to his children. Victor had a big heart and valued helping people or connecting them to someone who can help them. He never forgot about his family in the Philippines. Whenever he could, he would assist them financially and send them Balikbayan boxes full of American products and their special requests. During his retirement, he treasured spending quality time with his wife, children, and his grandchildren; maintaining the house and his cars, especially his prized military jeep; walking around with his neighborhood friends; and meeting new friends.
Victor’s beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of: his wife, Imelda Pimentel; his children - Allan Pimentel and his wife Isabel, Jason Pimentel and his wife Veronica, Raymond Pimentel and wife Lyn, and Debbie Pimentel and her husband Ali Huynh; his grandchildren - Alyssa Pimentel, Lauren Pimentel, Shelby Pimentel, Elaine Pimentel, Sean Pimentel, Aiden Pimentel, Olivia Pimentel, Ethan Pimentel, and Dean Huynh; his living sisters - Gloria Tabbada and Carol Lugo; and his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
