Victor Manuel Escobar

Victor Manuel Escobar, Sr., 78, was born in Guatemala on March 31, 1944, to father Narciso and mother Maria Bautista-Escobar. Victor passed away August 12, 2022, at his home in Rosamond, Calif., after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Raised in Guatemala, Victor came to the United States in 1964 and settled in Los Angeles.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine; his children, Victor Jr., Steven (Marc Purchin), and Annette; grandchildren Sophie, Sebian, and Mia; siblings Conrado, Marta, Jorge, Alberto (preceded in death), Maria Elena, and Carlos (preceded in death); many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Victor was always the life of the party and loved music, dancing, the Dodgers, and singing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," with many jokes on hand. Victor was much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
